This is a 2-hour presentation built on a 30-plus year career in the fire service designed for both first responders and their spouses/significant others. Being a first responder serves an exciting and commendable purpose, but it can ruin every good thing in your life if you fail to fully understand it. We will cover the emotional/psychological effects, inherent dangers, the impact on your families, and ways to help avoid/reduce the nearly inevitable consequences adhered to the EMS/Fire service.
