My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice
I accepted Christ as my personal savior at the age of 7 in my home church, University Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas. I surrendered to the ministry at the age of 14. At the age of 18 as a freshman at Howard Payne University I accepted the call to my first church as Minister of Music and Youth. I have been counseling, biblically, since that time. I received my certification with the International Association of Biblical Counselors in 2006. My faith in God has been the foundation of my life and my counseling practice. I left my last pastoral position in March of 2020 after 22 years at First Baptist Church in Crosby, Texas. I am currently the pastor of A New Direction Baptist Church in Crosby.
