About

I am accepting new clients! :) As a trauma-informed and first generation psychotherapist, I've worked with children, teens and adults who've experienced emotional, verbal and spiritual harm, intergenerational trauma, family conflict (including endings, separation and divorce), as well as individuals experiencing loss and grief and job stress and burnout. Depression, anxiety, loneliness, and perfectionism are present in painful thoughts, emotions and behaviors, and identifying these in our lives is often the first step in us realizing we may need help. I am bilingual and I am happy to provide services in Spanish.

I offer a hand and help you see you are not alone. It is my belief that these painful places are the holy places that open us to change and transformation towards higher levels of connection and healing. We are called to abide in Him and He abides in us; and with a true and healthy relationship with Him, we can be safe and begin to be curious and open to wonder how our childhoods, our families of origin, and our styles of relating may be informing our thoughts, emotions and behaviors. How can we name and process the pain, not simply ignore it and pretend it's not present? How can we transform it and learn from it to more generative and meaningful lives? When we are able to name these painful sacred places, we begin to invite Light and move further towards healing, freedom and flourishing.

I received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Theological Studies from Seattle University. My personal healing and faith journey led me to a Masters in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology, with a Concentration in Trauma and Abuse.

I offer in-person and virtual sessions in Federal Way, WA. I specialize in client-centered therapy, family systems and cognitive behavioral therapy. Each individual is unique and I take from different theories to tailor treatment. Together, we'll explore your life story, process painful parts and help you gain greater awareness of your internal mental and emotional world. You'll gain practical tools that will help you step into life with more confidence and a greater sense of self.

Feel free to reach out and we can see if we are a good fit with a free consultation! :)

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist

I became a Christian therapist because I believe we are all vessels for God's work - His hands and feet. I struggled with perfectionism, shame, and guilt and I received help from a Christian therapist. Such experiences allowed me a new view of God's healing in my life and I developed a passion to provide a similar spiritually safe space for other people. I've witnessed people in their most vulnerable and painful seasons and because of Him and others who helped me, my prayer is to offer a similar hand of hope.
