About
I am a licensed mental health counselor with over 25 years of experience working with individuals of all ages. I have play therapy experience with young children and teens, and I use a variety of approaches including CBT, DBT, and trauma resolution therapy. I am primarily person-centered in my approach in that I strive to both listen actively, and offer respect for the unique needs and situations of individuals. I also work hard to build a therapeutic relationship that is characterized by safety in terms of being able to share openly within a non-judgmental environment which I intentionally create for my clients. My entire approach operates within the framework of Christ-centered beliefs and practices. I graduated from The Florida State University in 1999 with a Master's in Counseling and Human Systems, and have provided individual and family therapy; performed as the Clinic Director in several agencies; (The Vashti Center for Children and Families, and Healing Transitions in Tallahassee Florida.) I have been in private practice since 2012 and am currently in private practice in Tallahassee, Florida.
