About

Hello, my name is Johnnie Porter. I've been a professional Pastoral/ Bereavement Care Coordinator (Hospital & Hospice) for 23 years. I've been a Pastor for 13 years and have been married for 15 years. I've been a Christian counselor and am currently completing my Ph.D. in Marriage & Family Therapy with a concentration in General Family Therapy. I work with a team of Pastoral Counselors who provide safe and socially distant in-person and virtual Pastoral Care & Bereavement Care Counseling to our clients. We have counselors in Georgia, Oregon, Minnesota, and Texas. Individual, couples, family, and group counseling is a special focus for our practice. Grief counseling for individuals and groups are areas of specialization my team and I have years of experience in. We also provide specialization support to clergy, Christian believers (and non-believers), Military Veterans, and their families.

As a team of Christian counselors, we offer Christian and professional therapy. It is our company's mission to help our diverse network of clients (especially those of the Christian faith) to overcome spiritual, mental, emotional, social, and behavioral problems using ethical biblical counseling practices and clinical behavioral science and counseling psychology principles used in traditional pastoral care and counseling and therapy.

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist

https://therapists.psychologytoday.com/240238

The study of psychology to me isn't the study of the mind as most would believe. But rather it's the study of the soul. The word psychology comes from the Greek word 'psyche' (or soul) and 'logos' (or study) which concludes that psychology literally means the study of the soul. As a care specialist, I desire to be a holistic care provider embracing both the study of the soul and behavior. I have provided various spiritual and bereavement care and support counseling throughout my career.

I believe that our issues can be verified not only through logical reasoning and observation but also on the basis of faith, tradition, spirituality, or common sense. All of this is directly connected to the soul. Make a life-changing decision by giving me a call today. Your journey to better starts here.

I've been a professional Pastoral/ Bereavement Care Coordinator (Hospital & Hospice) for 23 years. I've been a Pastor for 14 years and have been married for 15 years. I've been a Christian counselor for 27 yrs and am currently completing my Ph.D. in Marriage & Family Therapy with a concentration in General Family Therapy at North Central University. As a specialist, I desire to be a holistic care provider embracing both the study of the soul and behavior. I have provided various spiritual and bereavement care and support counseling throughout my career. As a pastor, I've utilized my clinical training to help troubled souls.
I recognize psychology as the science that studies behavior and mental processes. However, at the very nucleus of every behavior and or mental process lies the voice of the soul. The science of our profession demonstrates a set of spiritual and scientific laws we find in collective studies to identify our issues. Better can start with an appointment.
