About

I believe that healing involves the mind, body and soul. I focus primarily on relational methods, as I believe that the therapeutic bond is a place to practice and explore new ways of connecting, being vulnerable, feeling emotions, receiving care, and building self-awareness. My main methods of therapy are Neuro-Affective Relational Model (NARM) and Intensive Short-term Psychodynamic Psychotherapy(ISSTDP), both of which focus on using relationship to bring out each individual’s self-righting tendencies and heal past wounds. I also am certified in EMDR and the DIR/Floortime developmental play therapy model. I am trained therapies specifically for early trauma, including Deep Brain Reorienting and Stephen Terrell’s model Transforming Touch. I have training in various parenting and family therapy methods, including Circle of Security and Developmental Dyadic Psychotherapy.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish from Miami University in Ohio, an MBA from Northwestern University in Evanston, and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky. My Colorado license is #9925261.

If you’ve been trying your best in relationships but are still struggling with the pain of feeling alone or not finding lasting joy and connection. Or, you find yourself stuck, not able to approach life with forward-moving energy or clear direction. Trauma, tough family dynamics, and life’s hard knocks can make life overwhelming and keep you from having a solid sense of who you are or who you want to be. I use a mind-body approach to healing that goes beyond talk therapy. Together, we can find your sense of purpose, repair past hurts, develop authentic relationships, and craft a life that is more of what you want it to be.

I also specialize in children who struggle with emotional or behavioral challenges, and/or trauma. I work closely with parents to help their kids grow strong social-emotional capacities. My approach is to look beneath the behaviors to help parents identify ways to create lasting, positive changes and enhance your relationship with your child.

Above all, I believe that God is the best healer of the body, mind and soul. I encourage inclusion of faith, prayer, and connection to the Holy Spirit in sessions when clients state that is their preference.

My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice

My Christian faith is a big part of who I am. I have experienced unbelievable love and support in relationship with Christ. I believe that God can meet anyone where they are and support positive transformation in their lives. I feel honored to be able to accompany those on a healing journey.
