Roberta is a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 20 years of experience. Roberta earned a B.A. in Psychology, graduating Cum Laude from Wayne State University, Detroit, MI, and a M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Siena Heights University where she was also honored with the Exemplary Student Award.
Roberta is a Certified Biblical Counselor for those preferring a faith-based approach. She also specializes in working with partners of persons with problematic sexual behavior, and is part of a limited and uniquely qualified group of therapists, (The Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists), who are trained in the APSATS Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model.
Roberta has provided therapeutic treatment as a Psychotherapist working in a private practice, a family and adolescent center, group practices, working with individuals and couples with a broad range of issues and a center specializing in work with children and adolescents with serious emotional impairments.

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
I became a Professional Christian Therapist after serving as a Biblical Counselor in my church's Counseling Ministry. However, even prior to that, I believed that counseling was a part of God's call on my life. I count it a privilege to serve God and His people in this sacred calling. The calling has never been a burden to me, and it provides me great joy to be available, able, and competent to counsel others with the application of Biblical principles. The place of counseling, for me, is a sacred place where I meet with my clients to help them to discover and live the abundant life that God has promised to His children.
