I’m passionate about helping people navigate their problems and achieve their full potential, be it within their own personal goals through individual therapy, or the goals of the relationship through couples counseling. I believe therapy is a collaboration and I am committed to helping people become equipped with the skills they need to face the challenges they find themselves in. I received my master’s degree in counseling psychology from SMU and have over 6 years of counseling experience.

I received a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from SMU, and am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, and a National Certified Counselor. I have experience working with teenagers, as well as young through older adults, and have worked in private practice and inpatient treatment.

The clinical approaches I use are eclectic and vary depending on the person and the issue, but some of the modalities that I find generally helpful are CBT, solution-focus

LPC-S
My specialties are intimate relationships and individual personal growth. My work with couples primarily involves developing meaningful communication, deeper intimacy, an enhanced sex life and a renewed sense of connection between partners. I also work with individuals who are experiencing grief, trauma or loss relating to relationship break ups, infidelity, divorce or bereavement. The therapeutic approach of my practice is effective for Christian Counseling but equally applicable for persons of all faith backgrounds.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) with a Master’s Degree in Counseling from UTRGV and a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish from USNY. After years of counseling in public education, I completed additional graduate work at UNT Dallas in couples counseling and specific training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples.
