Hope.Relief.Freedom. This is what people experience from our work together. Hope begins to grow, most often from the very first session. You will experience relief from the symptoms that you have been experiencing, and from the burden you have been carrying. Relief begins within a few weeks or sooner. Freedom is achieved by the time we quit meeting together.
I specialize in brain functioning and brain recovery. Helping your brain function the way God designed it to addresses, reduces, and eliminates things such as depression, anxiety, anger or frustration, attention problems, addictions, and a variety of other symptoms and conditions. In addition to assessing and improving brain functioning, I provide biblical counseling. This is not providing Bible verses to solve your problems through "more obedience or trust," but rather helping you understand how God created you and helping you to function and live in a way that is consistent with the way He designed you.
I do not provide psychotherapy or counseling. I provide an initial free consultation to determine the source of the problems you are experiencing and to explain my methods and approach.

My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice
I have been trained as a clinical psychologist and a neuropsychologist. Over the years I have realized that psychology is not the answer nor does it provide healing and recovery. My ongoing research into brain functioning, my ongoing study of theology, my work with people, and perhaps most importantly inspiration and guidance from God have all convinced me that psychology and psychotherapy are not the answer. As I have realized this I have stopped the practice of psychology and focused on brain recovery and biblical counseling.
My faith is inseparable from my work with people. If you are looking for counseling or therapy I am not the person for you. If you are looking to greatly reduce or eliminate the symptoms that led you to this website, are looking to understand yourself in the context of God's great love for you and design of you, please contact me and we can achieve these goals together.
