About

Finding a respectable counselor ought to be easy. Yet, it seems like every time you decide to begin therapy, a dozen obstacles pop up, stopping you, no one will call you back, or maybe you’re worried about being judged. Excelsis Behavioral Health Counselors are a team of highly trained clinicians with specialized skill sets. Our therapists collaborate to provide a comfortable, inviting, personal experience for individuals and couples, integrating best-practice models and cutting-edge research. We aim to de-stigmatize the therapeutic process by humanizing it and providing a more genuine experience.

My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice

Our Christian Counselor’s goal is to help individuals and families overcome life’s trials and concerns using biblical counseling, Christian perspective therapeutic measures, and sharing godly principles rooted in the Word of God. Our counselors focus on mental and emotional issues, relationships, and spiritual wellness. Jesus is known to turn a mess into a message for His Glory. Our marriage is our ministry!

Blessings!

When life gets complicated and things seem out of order, we all need a safe space. I am a therapist interested in listening and can provide that space for you. I am a military veteran with experience working with clients from all service branches. Talk therapy can be beneficial to our self-care. We all need to feel like we are cared for and about. Deciding to attend therapy is courageous, and I will walk through this journey with you. I enjoy working with children, young adults and adults dealing with depression, anxiety, OCD, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I am also a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist for Veterans in the state of Florida. (#CPRS100497-V).

I specialize in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution-focused Therapy, and SYMBIS couples assessment for pre-marital and married couples. Additionally, I use Mindfulness-Based Practices, Therapy, Reframing, and ACT (Acceptance Commitment Therapy).

Registered Marriage and Family Therapy Intern
Hello! I am honored to provide a safe space to communicate and unpack life's complications. I provide therapeutic services related to marital issues, relationship difficulties, family trauma, LGBTQIA+, and military service trauma. I'm registered in Florida as a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern (IMT4186), a Life Coach, and a Certified Recovery Peer Specialist for Veterans (# CPRS100498-V).

I am a 20-year retired military veteran. I typically use an Emotionally Focused Therapeutic approach to guide individuals, couples, and families toward strategies that promote the awareness, acceptance, regulation, and transformation of emotions to create new meanings. As an American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) member and a Master of Divinity/Pastoral Counseling undergraduate, I am knowledgeable about incorporating the client’s religious or spiritual beliefs into the therapeutic process.
