About

Family TLC is a well established organization that has helped thousands of people through their healing journey.

William Stanus is a Christian counsellor who is a team member at Family TLC. William is a virtual counsellor and is available to work with individuals across Canada

He primarily focus on working with adults (18 and over) in individual therapy. He is comfortable with a wide variety of presenting issues, including (but not limited to) depression, anxiety, addiction, self-esteem, relational issues, meaning, identity conflicts, and trauma. I also provide christian counselling services to those seeking to bring their faith into the counselling room.

He has a specific interest in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. This is an approach that makes use of the brain’s natural healing capabilities, and has been demonstrated to be effective for trauma as well as many other concerns people typically bring into counselling. I also work with other therapeutic modalities.

He is a strong believer in the importance of the therapeutic relationship. My commitment is to provide a safe and caring environment in which clients can feel understood as they identify their issues and work, with their therapist, toward meaningful life change.
