About
I work with clients in their specific needs to help them attain the peace and joy found in a well balanced life.
Trained in EMDR, I help those going through difficulty in their current life because of past traumatic events. In resolving past hurts, clients can begin living and enjoying the present moment more fully. Also, depression, anxiety, anger, and relationship issues are addressed to help you attain your desired goal. As a Christian, I can incorporate Integrative Christian Counseling for clients that are open to allowing the Word of God and its guidance during the therapeutic session.
We can work together to help you achieve a healthier and more balanced life. Using EMDR and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I will come along side with you and work on the necessary tools to attain healthier thoughts, emotions, and behaviors so you can begin to experience the peace, calm, and sound transformation that you are desiring.
You may be wondering if what you are going through is even that bad. The fact that you came across this website tells me you are probably ready to talk to someone and begin your transformational journey. There are ways for you to feel better and to even overcome the obstacles interrupting your life. Worrying, overthinking, feelings of depression, or of having to be in control of everything does not have to be your normal state. Together, with God's help, we can navigate these difficulties and arrive at solutions and healing.
Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
After teaching for 20 years, I realized the Lord had been slowly calling and preparing me for a change in career. In obedience, I enrolled in Liberty University's Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate program. Since I graduated, I sense the Lord's pleasure as I see Him using me to bring many to health, freedom and quality relationships. Being His hands and feet as I help others in their mental health journey has been life-giving and powerful in my own growth and development.
