Larry Wieland

Larry is the founder of Goodworks Bible-based Counseling. He has two undergraduate degrees, one in Music and another in Sociology/Criminal Justice. He earned a Masters from ASU in Sociology/Justice Studies. Since then he has become an independent licensed therapist and holds a Doctorate from GCU in Behavioral Health, which leans heavily into psychology. Larry completed his doctoral dissertation on Bible-based counseling and its effectiveness for mental health and substance abuse. He has been a counselor for over 30 years. He currently teaches Master’s level students at GCU and has also served as an adjunct faculty member in the Maricopa County system and taught at various locations, but primarily with Rio Salado for 7 years. He has been able to supervise a number of interns and has had over 35 from GCU at the agency. He is also bilingual in Spanish.

Gabby received her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a Master of Arts in Applied Mathematics at Arizona State University. She went on to earn a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Denver Seminary. She has experience working with clients struggling with trauma, eating disorders, addiction, depression, anxiety, and relational conflict. She also has experience with clients impacted by neuro-social disorders to develop social and relational skills, self regulation and expression, and attachment. At Goodworks, Gabby provides counseling for children, adolescents, and adults including individuals and couples. Her goal in therapy is to walk alongside clients through past and present difficulties in order to help them experience growth, healing, and ultimately, freedom to live as their authentic selves. Austin Gamble

Austin received a bachelor degree in Anthropology and Visual Arts from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina; He also competed as a two-sport athlete. He went on to earn a Masters of Education in Counseling and Human Development from Hardin Simmons University. He believes the outcome of therapy is a direct result of the effort given; putting an emphasis on working in conjunction with the client to reach their goals as well as a greater understanding of themselves. He utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing among other techniques. Austin is also interested in becoming certified in EMDR, a proven technique to help aid in the treatment of trauma. Further interests include earning a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) certification with the Association for Applied Sport Psychology, with the hope of working with emerging and elite athletes.
Tara Rodriguez

Tara works at the Phoenix office. She received a bachelors degree in Finance from Michigan State University. After giving her life to Christ she became passionate about serving the people in her community and helping those who were hurting to heal. She went on to receive her Masters of Science in Christian Counseling from Grand Canyon University. She has experience working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, anger, addiction, body image issues, and low self-esteem. She has also worked with couples struggling with conflict, connectivity challenges, and communication breakdowns. At Goodworks, Tara provides counseling for young adults and adults including individuals and couples. Her goal in therapy is to first make the client feel safe and secure to share the difficult and hard feelings and emotions they are experiencing. She will work together with the client to help empower, support, and guide them to healing and wholeness while helping them to reach their treatment goals
Joy Mrowiec

Joy received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Health and Family Services at Arizona State University. She completed her Master's Degree in Professional Counseling at Grand Canyon University. Since graduation, she has worked at building her private practice specializing in individual therapy for depression, anxiety, stress, anger, grief, as well as relationship issues, premarital and marital counseling, family issues and a wide range of life’s challenges. She takes a person centered, humanistic approach with all her clients that focuses on communication, problem solving and unlocking their strengths. As a counselor for Goodworks, Joy provides counseling in Behavioral Health treatment homes for those dealing with mental health issues and addiction.
