Fani Mwasiti, MSW, LCSW-A graduated from UNC Greensboro with a Bachelor of Human Development and Family Studies. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from UNC-Chapel Hill. Fani has experience providing therapy services to individuals, couples, and families. She believes in the body, mind, spirit, and emotions approach. She is passionate about assisting her clients in tackling their struggles and managing daily stressors. Fani provides Christian therapy as well as secular therapy. She provides treatment for people experiencing grief, anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma/abuse/PTSD, eating disorders, and parenting difficulties. She utilizes several therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness, and Motivational Interview (MI).
Fani has a person-centered therapeutic approach that helps her build genuine connections with her clients. She brings an authentic welcoming safe space that provides a non-judgemental therapeutic environment. Fani seeks to integrate creativity, scriptures, and gentle humor into sessions because she believes therapy can be enjoyable and challenging. She encourages clients to come as they are for her to meet them where they are. She is determined to help her clients feel grounded and centered in all aspects of their lives.
