About
As a Christian counselor, I provide a space of grace, hope, and healing. Combining clinical skills and biblical knowledge, my approach to counseling is to join you where you are and equip you with tools for your life journey. We will work together to set goals and create an individual treatment plan that will generate healthy changes and a meaningful transformation.
My counseling specialty has been in the area of trauma therapy where I have used therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavior therapy, family systems, Emotion-Focused therapy, and Attachment theory. Additionally, I have been trained in EMDR (Eye Movement, Desensitization, and Reprocessing). I am also experienced in Couples therapy as a Gottman Level One and Level Two trained therapist. My clinical focus is in anxiety, depression, grief, loss, pre-marital counseling, marriage counseling, divorce recovery, post-abortion, sexual abuse/assault, low self-esteem, family systems/attachment issues, and emotional and behavioral problems.
Suffering rarely makes sense. However, even within suffering we learn more about ourselves and about God. David tells us in Psalm 23 that “though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death [God] is with me.” We are not alone in our suffering. It would be my honor to join you where you are and work toward healing and grace.
