Growing Connections Counseling, PLLC and Shannon Worley, LCSW, Lisw-CP provide support for those experiencing loss/grief related to losing a person, pet, relationship, loss of a dream or what could have been, loss of a job, or a loss of identity due to many factors including major life transitions such as mid life, marriage, divorce, parenthood, and a number of other experiences. I also work with those wanting to address people pleasing and perfectionistic behaviors that may lead to anxiety, shame, increased stress and feelings of low self confidence and worth. Growing Connections Counseling, PLLC understand that trauma may be at the root of many of these uncomfortable feelings, thoughts, and behaviors that are keeping you from aligning with your true self and living the life you would love to live.
Although, I see people who are not Christian and do not want to incorporate their faith into their time in sessions, I am a Christian and provide support for those wanting to include their Christian faith in their therapuetic healing journey.
I have been in the mental health field for 15 years, working in a variety of settings, including owning my own private practice. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Asheville with a BA in Psychology and received my Masters of Social Work from Western Carolina after. I have been fully licensed for 9 years. I currently live in Asheville, NC and am fully licensed in both North and South Carolina and can see anyone living in either of these states through telehealth or in person via nature walk and talks.
Growing Connections Counseling, PLLC offeres a free initial phone consultation to see if we may be a good fit to work together. Session rates are $180 for individual sessions and $225 for joint sessions. I do offer some sliding scale availability and this will be discussed during an intitial phone consultation. Growing Connections Counseling, PLLC, does not accept insurance at this time. I explain this in detail on my website.
