About

John Kane is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Western Seminary. John Kane is the founder of Growth and Change Counseling, a group Christian Counseling practice with locations in Campbell, CA, Roseville CA, and Los Angeles, CA
Christian Counseling is one of the most sought after forms of counseling in the United States today. We are not Christian therapists because of who we treat but because of who we are. CS. Lewis wrote, “I believe in Christianity like I believe in the sun, not just because I see it, but because by it I see everything else. For those of you looking for Christian Counseling, we take a Christian Psychology approach in our work with you and all of our therapists are trained to apply the same foundational approach for all who are seeking Christian Counseling. We are relationships oriented therapists. Whatever it is you are dealing with, we will come alongside you and partner with you to help you reach the goals and growth that you desire for yourself. We have discovered that healthy relationships with God and with each other are an antidote to so many of the mental health concerns we experience. If people are depressed, anxious, addicted, angry, or hurt, they have a tendency to withdraw or isolate and that isolation perpetuates the struggles they are experiencing. Humans are relational beings and we find that it is in healthy relationships that we experience fulfillment!

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist

Therapy is in my blood; it’s the way I can help and love people. As a therapist in Campbell, CA, I’ve witnessed human suffering all around me since I was young. These experiences have shaped my life, challenging me to explore the human experience and how to help people live healthy, fulfilled, and godly lives. My diverse interests in counseling, psychology, philosophy, wilderness therapy, theology, and experiential living contribute to my unique approach to coaching and therapy in Campbell.

Relationships are one of the most important aspects of my life. I treasure my relationship with God, with my wife, and my kids. I’ve come to realize that challenges in relationships are at the center of most of our problems, whether it be anxiety, depression, family conflicts, or marriage conflicts. I am passionate about helping people have the relationships they long for because I know that we are relational beings that can be made whole when we have healthy intimacy with others.

Have you thought “I don’t fit in” or “nobody cares what I think or listens to me!” or “Why do I stress out all the time?” I’ve been there too. It’s a struggle in the very core of your belief system, and with help, you can heal. It doesn’t matter who you are, where you come from, or what you believe, I can come alongside you and help you on your healing journey, not just because I know how to, but because I have also experienced the healing myself.
You matter in life because you are human and precious. I want to help you experience wholeness so that you can be satisfied in your life and confident to face any challenge and grow through it.
I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology from San Diego State and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Chapman University. I am a specialist with years of experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and I have specialized training in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA). I also specialize in working with individuals around

In life, we sometimes find ourselves in dark and lonely tunnels, with no end in sight. I want you to know that there is hope, and I am here to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing. As a nurse who came to the therapy field through an unconventional path through God's calling, I believe that some of the most profound healing experiences are not physical but psychological and relational. While physical healing relates to our body’s functioning, psychological and relational healing touches the very core of our identity, satisfaction, and fulfillment in life. Even if my body is broken, my spirit can still thrive with satisfaction and fulfillment. But if my spirit is broken, my physical health becomes far less significant. Charles Stanley once said, “It is not the trials in your life that develop or destroy you, but rather your response to those hardships.”

Call me today so we can discuss your needs. I work with individuals, couples, and families, including parents and childr

I am a Christian relationships-oriented therapist aggressively committed to helping you uncover the underlying causes of anxiety and depression and support you in building the skills to increase communication, connection, and find satisfaction in your relationships. In this process, I will help you to uncover and address the underlying anger that feeds the anxiety and depression. In cases of PTSD, I will help you uncover the underlying defenses that protected you through a traumatic experience but now are interfering with your ability to move forward in intimacy.

I am an experienced specialist in trauma care, including complex trauma and dissociation, and love helping clients heal. I treat the whole person utilizing aspects of many theories and strategies. Some of the theories and strategies I like to use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment theory, somatic therapy, and EMDR. Through this process together, you will learn tools and principles of life that will empow

I am Jamula (Jamalah) Taylor; a woman, a mother, a Christian, and a therapist. I became a therapist to help people who look like me to be okay with being vulnerable and to support their healing. I want you to know that your past doesn’t define your present or your future. It was Vivekananda who wrote, “Whatever we are now, is the result of our acts and thoughts of the past; and whatever we shall be in the future, will be the result of what we think and do now.”

I am here to walk alongside you on your journey of healing. At Growth and Change, we have a foundational approach we take all of our clients through, regardless of which therapist you work with. It is this foundation that gives us our reputation that people experience real help real quick. There is no problem I am not willing and able to face with you. Have the courage to take the next step; remember, courage is not the absence of fear but taking action in spite of our fear.
