About

Congratulations on taking your first step toward experiencing freedom and healthy functioning. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), and I have been practicing social work in the mental health arena since 2019. As a clinical social worker, I was also trained to practice EMDR therapy. I also have experience in providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment theory framework methods, mindfulness practices, boundary setting strategies, and more, from a Christian perspective.

I seek to help people reach their goals from a person-centered perspective, utilizing and eclectic approach to the therapeutic session, based on your current presentation and needs. You are the expert in the process; I am just hoping to help you recognize that, as well as to empower you to use your innate abilities to be in charge of your symptomatology.

I think that my greatest strength as a therapist is that you can count on me to hear you. I know personally how difficult it can be to bravely come and sit in a therapist's office. Therefore, I treat your vulnerability with great respect, and I do everything that I can to use your time wisely.

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist

I had no direct intention of becoming a therapist, to be honest. I was a pastor’s wife and stay-at-home mother, and in addition to supporting my family, my biggest achievement entailed perfecting my skill at making The Pioneer Woman’s cinnamon rolls recipe. Likely a God-thing, out of the blue, I got contacted by a VA voc rehab counselor who asked me if I wanted to get my Master’s degree (several years after completing my bachelors degree in Psychology). After much prayer, my family and I said “yes” and so the journey began. I never truly know if I’m following God’s will for me, but I’m happy to serve Him in my current position, strengthened by His love for me, hoping to get the opportunity to help others accept that same Fatherly love for themselves.
