LPC-S
I have practiced professional counseling since September 1997 when I joined Houston Baptist University (HBU) in their counseling center and later became Director of Counseling Services. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) as well as an LPC Supervisor (LPC-S).
I believe that effective therapy happens within an authentic therapeutic relationship, and that it isn’t the job of the therapist to make change happen but to create the relational environment where desired change is highly likely to occur. Clients will experientially discover—not just intellectually understand—the insights, meaning, purposes, and identities that are at the root of their persisting “unwanted”, “problematic” symptoms.

I have been married since 1987 and have three children. I have lived in France and the United States. I have a Bachelor of Arts in French and a minor in Psychology. I attended Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary and then chose to transfer to HBU where I received a Master of Arts in Psychology. I pursued additional training to secure licensure in the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I uphold accepted standards of care in the psychotherapeutic community.
Although I am a Christian and espouse Judeo-Christian principles in my practice, I am sensitive to meeting people where they stand in their spiritual life. I have been in the counseling field since 1987 and have worked in various settings before joining Houston Center for Christian Counseling. I care deeply about my work as a therapist and will give you the best I have to offer. In addition, I request that you give your best to the process that occurs in therapy.

LPC, LMFT, LCDC
I have been a Christian counselor since 1986. Most of my experience in working with adults and adolescents has been in dealing with a variety of issues including marriage and family struggles, drug and alcohol addiction, sexual addiction, men’s issues, unwanted same sex attraction, depression and with other life struggles.
I believe it is important that you know the perspective I take in addressing issues of life and that a relationship with God is of the utmost importance in experiencing all that you are intended for. However, I want you to know that I am sensitive to meeting you where you are in your own spiritual life. I very much enjoy the work I do, and I take it very seriously. My commitment is to give you the best I have to offer. I also ask that you give your best to the process.
I work with trauma victims and have advanced training in EMDR and Trauma Resolution Therapy (TRT).

As a Registered Play Therapist/Supervisor, my expertise is in Child Centered Play Therapy. In CCPT, your child is given the opportunity to express themselves in their natural language of play. Through play, children can reveal their experiences, express feelings, modify behaviors and develop problem solving and coping skills. However, I also utilize other techniques such as art, sand tray therapy, Animal Assisted Therapy, and therapeutic games and activities which empower and enable children and teens to enjoy therapy and to express deeper feelings that are difficult to put into words.
In addition to trauma and abuse, I have experience in treating a variety of mental health needs in children and adolescents, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief and loss and Autism Spectrum Disorder. In my work with children, I want parents to know that they are an integral part of the therapeutic process, and I will work with parents in a teaching and supportive role to help their child and fa

Every person has a story that helped create them into who they are today, but if there’s a disturbance in the trajectory of where to go next, seeking help can be difficult. I have a heart for pre-teens, teenagers, and college students as I come along beside them and help them along their journey. I also really enjoy working with adults that are seeking counsel as they navigate through whatever trial is going on in their life. I graduated from Dallas Baptist University in 2017 with a M.A. in Counseling and a BA in Psychology.
I specialize in anxiety, depression and behavioral issues. I found a passion in helping those through past abuse, as well. I’ve worked with multicultural clients, multi-personality disorders, life transitions and emotional regulation. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an approach that is very helpful with trauma.
If you’re hurting, lost or confused, know that you’re not alone in your struggles. I’ve been on your side.
