About
First, you probably need to know this right now... that you were created to be loved! My aim is to embody God's vision and love for you. Next, in therapy, real growth and change is influenced significantly by what you feel and think about your therapist. You need to feel safe, understood, validated, cared for, and able to trust the competency and selflessness of your therapist. Please feel free to come for a free introductory meeting with me. With deep care, compassion, understanding, and respect, I help you transition from surviving to thriving in relationships and life. I specialize in broken relationships or those struggling with past trauma or abuse?
Are you feeling hurt, pain, loss, angry, grief, anxious, depressed, addicted, empty, lost, stuck, or unfulfilled? I help you heal and transition your thinking, feeling, behaving, and believing with biblical and concrete tools where you become more confident, empowered, and utilize clear communication and healthy boundaries to get more of what you do want.
I understand how your prenatal/perinatal, childhood, and especially traumatic experiences can form debilitating beliefs and relating patterns which are stored unconsciously in your brain and body therefore making talk therapy alone ineffective. I use a Christian-based relational, psychodynamic, mind-body-spirit integrated approach to expedite your healing, growth, and change.
Above and beyond all that I have said above, first and foremost in my approach is to surrender myself to being used by the Holy Spirit in service of God's will for you, your situation, and your healing. Prayer, the Word, and calling upon the presence and power of the Holy Spirit and Jesus is common in my work with clients as an approach to healing of old patterns, memories, and traumas that may be interfering with your happiness, peace, and fulfillment.
Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
I became a Christian Therapist because there is no power greater to help heal and transform one's life then the power of God/Jesus Christ/Holy Spirit.
My goal is to support the transformation referred to in 2 Cor 3:17-18..Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
Being a Christian therapist, I am also an advocate of Romans 12:2.. Do not conform to the pattern of this world [or your past experiences], but be transformed by the renewing of your mind [come to see yourself as God sees you sanctified in Christ, holy, pure and blameless]. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
