I graduated from California Christian Institute in 1986 with a Masters in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling. I'm licensed with the state of CA: LMFT42977.
I have a background in family sytems, couples therapy and play therapy for childlren. I have Hospice training for loss and bereavement and also Gottman Level 1 training for couples and Prepare and Enrich for premarital couples. I have facilitated a long-term women's group for survivors of incest.
Currently I see a broad range of individuals, couples and families, some who choose me because of common faith and others who want a seasoned professional who can help with personal and interpersonal problems. I love my work and see it as a calling!
Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
My primary reason for beginning the Master's level training in 1984 was to have more understanding and tools for my current ministry. I was a Christian Education director and also worked in the women's ministries. Now, as a widow of a minister, I am able to earn my living as a professional counselor and fulfill my calling to serve Christ's church and the hurting world.
