About

Welcome. As a practicing Christian and clinical psychologist, I recognize our Lord Jesus Christ as the ultimate Therapist and Source of Wisdom. So I encourage my clients to integrate prayer into their daily lives, especially during times of uncertainty, grief, or anxiety. Since many of my clients have suffered church wounds in the past, I accept people where they are in their faith journey and work with them to heal trauma, consider forgiveness and develop compassion toward others.

After earning my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Loyola University Chicago, I worked in various clinical settings before settling into private practice. My specialties include easing stress, coping with illness or infertility, grief, climbing out of depression, addressing childhood abuse, finding a meaningful calling in work, improving relationships, and addressing spiritual concerns. As a devoted animal lover, my blog, Pet Ways to Ease Stress (found on my website), features prominent members of the pet community offering tips on easing stress with a woof of humor, a purr of insight, a chirp of wisdom, or a tail of fun.

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist

Check out a recent podcast episode in which I provided tips to ease stress with some Christian perspective.
