About
Do you try to be what others expect of you, but still experience a persistent hole inside? Are you committed to your marriage, but find yourself pulled toward escape activities like TV or the Internet? Do you wish to be closer to your spouse but feel that his or her heart is far from you? I am here to listen carefully and non-judgmentally. Let us listen together to what your heart is crying out for.
I believe that God made each one of us and His fingerprints are evident in the deep places of the heart. God speaks, but it can feel challenging to take the time to listen for fear of also hearing our own pain. Counseling is a place where we can listen together so that you do not have to explore alone.
Whether you wish to talk individually or as a couple, I can help you address what your heart is saying and learn how to live in your significant relationships. I understand challenging emotions like anger, sadness, worry, and stress. I understand compulsive behaviors and I help with getting to the root of why they are so strong. Let's talk or pray together and discover a way of life that you can live with.
Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
As a Christian counselor, I believe that God is continually active in the lives of people. I believe that each person needs a place where he or she can honestly share and address life's issues. God seeks to be with people who are hurting. I became a Christian counselor because I believe that intense listening is the way I may most positively impact the world towards encountering God's grace.
I have an MA in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology.
