I have a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Sam Houston State University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and approved Supervisor with the State of Texas. I offer individual, couples, family (patient focused), and group therapy for adolescents and adults. I utilize Reality and Cognitive Behavioral theories in a solution focused manner. I believe forgiveness is a great component in well-being. Our individual perspectives may be causing the distress in our lives. Let's learn together to be the person God created us to be. I worked and volunteered in the prison system and have seen people transform before my eyes.
My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice
I worked and volunteered in the prison system and have seen people transform before my eyes. I am merely an instrument that God utilizes to help broken souls become whole. In my practice I see clients of various walks of life and religious background. So we start our relationship from where the client is currently in their faith journey. I have written prayers to utilize before and after sessions, but these are not required. I am ready to pray with clients at their comfort level. I personally pray for each client and their family daily. God is all knowing, ever present and all powerful. I rely on God (Holy Trinity) to help me be the person I was meant to be.
