About
I have been a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor for 22 years and have practiced in both inpatient and outpatient agencies before entering full time private practice for the past 17 years. I enjoy working with a variety of people; individuals with addictions, anxiety, adjustment to difficult life situations; and relationship issues.
I have a masters in Clinical & Community Counseling from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD with a specialization in Addictions.
Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
I was the Director of an outpatient clinic with Catholic Charities for 5 years and found my work to be very rewarding. After several years of successfully managing a clinic I decided to open my private practice.
I believe therapy can help you find healthy and productive ways to gain more confidence and ability to handle the struggles you face. I believe therapy is a tool that can be used by everyone to help make life more manageable. When we feel our life is out of control or unmanageable, we may go to extremes to try and regain control. Together we will collaborate to create a plan that helps you address whatever is standing between where you are now and where you want to be in the future. My approach is compassion focused and therapeutic.
