Life presents each of us with a unique journey.  As a counselor I join with you to support growth, work through difficulties and create successful outcomes.  I take a systemic approach in my counseling and journey with individuals, couples, and families. Systemic therapy addresses people both at the individual level, as well as taking into account broader relationships, patterns, and generational context.

After serving in the US Army, I completed my undergraduate studies in Psychology at Wheaton College and earned my Master’s degree in Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from Geneva College. I am licensed as a Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with over 20 years of experience. Along with my clinical work, I offer business consultations, clinical and organizational assessments, and provide trainings and seminars.

Art therapy is grounded in the knowledge base of human development, psychological theory, and counseling techniques: it is not a series of art lessons. I apply both traditional counseling and art therapy techniques when supporting a client’s personal and relational treatment goals. I work with children through older adults. Through the use of talk therapy and art therapy, I help clients dealing with behavioral issues, depression, anxiety, trauma, and relational problems.  I have a special interest in working with women experiencing divorce and the relational struggles that often are experienced within their community.

I received my Master’s Degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Art Therapy from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. I maintain professional memberships in the American Association of Christian Counselors and the American Art Therapy Association.

I received my Master’s degree in Psychology from Millersville University.  Additionally, I have my Pennsylvania State Certification in School Psychology, which allows me to serve both traditionally schooled and homeschool families with evaluations and special education approvals. I offer dyslexia and autism screenings, as well as intelligence testing, assessment of academic achievement, and giftedness testing.

Some of my experiences before coming to LSC included overseeing direct care for children with autism and working with women who have experienced sex trafficking and exploitation. They have shown me the realities of resilience and restoration in the face of complex, layered trauma.  As an educational and behavioral support specialist, as well as a program director, I have developed and taught classes for life skills, addiction recovery and trauma support, focusing upon stabilization and education.  Currently, I am under supervision as I complete Pennsylvania’s requirements for

I joined the team here at Life Strategy Consultants in 2021 after graduating with a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Evangelical Theological Seminary. I am currently under supervision to complete Pennsylvania’s licensing requirements. I also have over 27 years of experience as a Registered Nurse. I worked in Med/Surg, home care, psychiatric nursing, and currently enjoy working part-time as a nurse on one of the psychiatric inpatient adult units at Wellspan Philhaven.

I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families experiencing personal and relational distress. My goal is to come alongside you and elicit your strengths as we work to establish a sense of hope and meet your goals. I use a systemic approach to therapy, meaning I see you as part of a broader network of relationships and I look at how interacting in those relationships impacts you. This enables us to move holistically toward healing.
