Art therapy is grounded in the knowledge base of human development, psychological theory, and counseling techniques: it is not a series of art lessons. I apply both traditional counseling and art therapy techniques when supporting a client’s personal and relational treatment goals. I work with children through older adults. Through the use of talk therapy and art therapy, I help clients dealing with behavioral issues, depression, anxiety, trauma, and relational problems. I have a special interest in working with women experiencing divorce and the relational struggles that often are experienced within their community.
I received my Master’s Degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Art Therapy from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. I maintain professional memberships in the American Association of Christian Counselors and the American Art Therapy Association.
