About

I have 26 years of practice experience in the field of counseling. I have an MS in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University in Maryland. I am a LCMHC in North Carolina Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, an LPC in Georgia Licensed Professional Counselor, and a CLC Certified Life Coach from the AACC American Association of Christian Counselors. I also have an Advanced Trauma Treatment certification from the Advanced Psychotherapy Institute in Baltimore Md.

I am eclectic in my style of therapy using different modalities like family systems, EFT tapping, imagery/healthy processing, safe place, loss history, 12 steps, and positive talk/psychology. I have worked with New Life Ministries (Steve Arterburn) for 19 years in working with a variety of groups at weekends and online. I also have worked with women betrayed by sexual addiction for 15 years through New Life Ministries and also have my own journey with betrayal trauma.

***I only see women for counseling or coaching ages 21-99.

My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice

I became a Christian in 1969 from reading a Billy Graham book. I was raised Catholic and moved to worshipping as a protestant in 1969. In 1991 I received the call from God, while in prayer and my own therapy, to become a licensed counselor. I went back to school received my undergraduate degree, a BA, from Southeastern University and then went on to receive my MS from Loyola University in 1999. I am a sole proprietor and have worked in the past for Catholic Charities, a psychiatrist, and now currently continue my private practice along with working with New Life ministries.

My faith in Christ is always at the forefront of my counseling/coaching and I work with the client to not only develop a deeper walk in faith with Christ but also work to help the client achieve the best life that God has called them to by having tools to overcome the trials of life.
