About

Mark completed his undergraduate and Master's degrees from Southern Nazarene University in Religious Education. He earned a Master of Divinity at Nazarene Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry in Counseling from Phillips Theological Seminary.

He seeks to help individuals, couples, families, and communities move from brokenness to wholeness. There is a grace-driven approach to creating a treatment plan with the therapist and client(s).

He uses EMDR, Brainspotting, and ART (Accelerated Rapid Therapy) to help individuals with trauma. With these tools, there has been significant recovery and healing. Working with these tools can help provide new insights and attitudes about life.

Mark has been a therapist since 1997, working with children and families within the SRS, CINC, and JJA systems. As a state-approved domestic and parent/adolescent mediator since 2003 and with a certificate in Group Conflict Management from Bethel College, Mark is helping high-risk families, children, and adolescents.

Experienced with both congregations and court systems, Mark has a breadth that allows him to help families and individuals. He helps deal with challenges using pre-marital and marital therapy; depression, anxiety, and substance abuse treatments (individual and group outpatient); family mediation, and conflict management. His training in DBT (Dialectic Behavioral Therapy), family systems, and solution-focused brief therapeutic methods offers a variety of effective skills.

Mark speaks at family seminars and retreats, provides clinical support and counsel to pastors and their families, and is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene. With over 16 years in the Social Services field, he has experience as an administrator and clinician. He and his wife have two children.
