About
My clients describe me as kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and able to get to the heart of an issue quickly providing solutions they can begin implementing that day.
In my role as a police officer, I have seen it all and because of the demands of my career, I have had to develop life skills that have kept me emotionally, physically, and spiritually healthy, and my relationship world grounded. So what I work with with you in my office, I also live in my life.
I am well versed in all walks of life and in negotiating conflict whether the conflict resides in you, your faith, in relationships, or in your professional life.
I was married at Willow Creek Community Church where I helped launch the DuPage Campus, led the Marriage Matters Ministry with my wife for 4 years, was a Coach in Adult Ministries, and have been part of the small group ministry.
I see adolescents, adults, and couples and I am specialized in treating depression, anxiety, bipolar, chronic mental illness and trauma. I also assist clients through life transitions, relationship conflicts, anger management, and loss/grief issues. I tailor the treatment approach to each person using the modalities of ACT, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness, Psychodynamic, and The Gottman Method.
I accept BCBS PPO, BCBS HMO DuPage & Edward Medical Groups, Aetna, United Healthcare/Optum, Cigna, Magellan, Anthem BCBS, and self-pay.
I look forward to meeting you and helping navigate life's challenges so you can live the life you desire.
