About

The New Hope Counselors team has locations throughout the greater Phoenix area.

We provide counseling to those who need support to process and heal from their experiences. We have a foundation of Christian values combined with counseling approaches that offer real solutions for resolving present and past emotional wounds.

The New Hope Counselors team works with all ages across the lifespan, individuals, couples, and families. We work in areas of relationships, trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, mood disorders, social anxiety, grief, resentments, unresolved emotions and more. We believe the journey of our clients is unique and we work together to find answers that are tailored to our client's values, beliefs and desires.

While we focus on the present issues, we also explore the roots or history of present symptoms and provide our clients with tools to uncover foundational wounds contributing to present issues.

We desire to help clients set and achieve their own goals, aligning their life with their values, enhance strengths they already possess, live with "emotional sobriety" - where their emotions enhance their life and do not control their life.

We offer creative ways of designing your therapy experience. If you need more than the typical 50 minute sessions periodically, we work with you to create a program from 3 - 6 hours in a day to provide intensive/concentrated time to accelerate the reclaiming of your emotional health or improving your relationship.

Our therapists use an eclectic treatment approach, based on their training and specifically tailored to the needs of our clients.

Approaches drawn from include:

EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing
IFS - Internal Family Systems
CBT - Cognitive Behavior Therapy
DBT - Dialectical Behavior Therapy
ACT - Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
EFT - Emotionally Focused Therapy
Psychodynamic
Narrative
Play & Art Therapies
Trauma Egg
How We Love - Attachment Focused Therapy

LPC, LISAC
My passion to become a counselor came from my own recovery from feeling like life was not working for me as well as it did for others. Prior to asking for help, my search for answers took me on a journey through broken relationships, depression, substance abuse, codependency, and always striving to be perfect or at least 'good enough.' In desperation, I came to the end of my attempts to figure things out on my own, I finally turned to counselors and mentors for help. This opened up my life to understanding and appreciating the unique person inside, finding peace, joy, and freedom to enjoy life fully. The relief and hopefulness I found were so profound that I determined to help others find their way. Like me, many seek answers within, but due to disappointment, confusion, fear, misguided advice, etc. we can get stuck, however, counseling can help by uncovering the best version of ourselves which lies within.

I currently see clients in N Scottsdale and also supervise a team of thera
