Jennifer Hovey

Dr. Jennifer Hovey is the Clinical Director of NewPath. She is a Licensed Psychologist with a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology and a doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Saint Thomas. Jen’s leadership style and practice are guided by principles of trauma informed care which emphasize safety, trust, collaboration, and empowerment.
Jen has experience and training working with diverse clinical populations. She particularly enjoys working with complex trauma, developmental trauma, anxiety, transition and loss, interpersonal/relational difficulties, executive and leadership coaching, and working with other mental health professionals. Jen combines the latest research and evidenced-based practice, drawing from multiple treatment modalities, to meet the unique needs of her clients.
Stefanie Hofman

She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who holds a Master’s Degree in Adlerian Counseling and Psychotherapy. Her approach is strengths-based and client-centered and focuses on the inherent value of humans and the power within each of us to bring about our own change. She has worked in private practice, church-based counseling, community services, and with the Department of Human Services in a secured -forensic setting. Stefanie has experience working with clients with a history of sexual offending, unwanted sexual arousal, and other problematic sexual behaviors. Additionally, Stefanie works with clients who struggle with their sense of belonging or relationships, be they intimate, vocational, spiritual, or familial. Janet Martin

Janet is a licensed professional who has worked with a variety of people since 2004. She has years of experience working with children and adolescents who struggle with emotion and behavior dysregulation, as well as adults with severe and persistent mental illness. Janet has experience in psychosexual assessment and expertise in addressing sexual issues. She is currently seeing clients in the following areas; complex trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, victims of sexual abuse, sexual and intimacy issues, grief and loss, midlife crisis, and interpersonal relationships/divorce. Janet’s therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral which is strongly influenced by existential thought. Kara is a licensed drug and alcohol counselor and holds a master's degree in Adlerian Counseling and Psychotherapy. Her clinical focus is working with clients with co-occurring disorders and providing forensic sex therapy. Kara also has experience working with adult clients with substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, psychosis, and relational issues. Through her years of professional experience in the field of health care, Kara has learned the value of empathetic and compassionate care. She believes in order to establish a strong therapeutic relationship, it is important to learn how the client views themself and the world.
