About

I graduated with an MA in School Counseling in May of 2011. I have been a school counselor from that time to the present. In 2001, I started my career as a special education teacher in the Chicago Public School system. After 5 years of teaching special education, I moved to general education where I taught 6th and 3rd grade before pursuing my passion in becoming a school counselor. Being in the classroom has trained me to be the caring counselor I am today. No learning could go forward if all hearts and minds were not clear.

As a psychotherapist, I am compassionate and dedicated with 13 years of school counseling experience helping children and their families navigate life's challenges. Specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, and person-centered therapy. I always aim to create a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their emotions and overcome obstacles. I am known for my empathetic listening skills and ability to provide tailored guidance to individuals seeking personal growth and healing.

I am committed to promoting mental health and wellness not just in my community, but wherever I have an opportunity to do so. I am a servant and it is a calling that I do not take lightly.

Psyhcotherapist
As a dedicated psychotherapist, my passion lies in helping individuals navigate their challenges and foster positive mental health. With 13 years of experience working with school-aged children, parents, and adults who seek help in flushing out channeling issues, I have honed my skills to provide compassionate and practical support to those in need. My journey in psychotherapy has been shaped by helping children, parents, and individuals struggling with life issues. These experiences have not only deepened my understanding of the human psyche but also strengthened my resolve to make a meaningful impact in the lives of my clients.
I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can freely explore their thoughts and emotions. By integrating a combination of therapeutic modalities, I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each individual I work with. Empathy, active listening, and a genuine desire to see my clients thrive are at the core of my practice.
