You may not always have control over the things that happen in your life, but you can control how you grow, learn and move forward. My name is Robin Winter and I have a Masters Degree in Counseling and hold professional license in both New York (LMHC) and Connecticut (LPC). I currently offer virtual teletherapy sessions to individuals residing in New York and Connecticut, as well as in-person sessions in my office which is located in Danbury, CT. I have more than 15 years post masters experience and have successfully treated individuals who desire to address issues such as childhood abuse/neglect, generational dysfunction, family systems issues, relational issues, anxiety-related disorders, depressive disorders, anger, and various types of traumas. Please note that I do not work with children and adolescents or couples at this time. I am a faith-filled Christian and enjoy working with and helping other Christian's overcome life's difficulties by combining evidenced-based therapies, years of experience, spirit-filled and spirit-led counsel and a down to earth approach.
Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
Throughout my career I have worked and continue to work with both Christians and non-Christians. What I have found is that the counseling experience and outcomes are enhanced when, faith, biblical principles and foundational truths are incorporated into the counseling experience. Its a more dynamic experience for the client and for me as a clinician. My passion is helping others heal and overcome their hurt and pain. That passion is for all people. As a Christian I strive to bring the love and compassion of Jesus to every session, regardless of a persons faith.
