About

I am dedicated to providing a warm and safe space for you to gain clarity, improve your relationships, and address difficult emotions like depression, anxiety, trauma, body image issues, or burnout. Together, we will explore and develop a stronger, more resilient sense of self with compassion and forgiveness.
Hi! I’m Regina Chow Trammel, PhD, LCSW, and I have successfully treated hundreds of clients throughout my 17+ years of practice using mindfulness, existential, cognitive, and process-based interventions.

The therapy process can help you gain insight, heal, and make appropriate changes. I can help you navigate the unique cultural & systemic factors that impact mental health, and I can integrate faith and Christian mindfulness practices into our work together.

I am licensed in the states of California and Illinois. I provide tele-therapy with an easy to use video-based app. I have limited in-person therapy in Azusa, CA with ample parking. My office is safe & comforting.

I am also a professor, researcher and author ( A Counselor's Guide to Christian Mindfulness: Engaging the Mind, Body, & Soul in Biblical Practices & Therapies Zondervan) and am committed to providing evidence-based therapies that I have studied and teach about in our work together.

As an expert in Asian American mental health treatment, I understand the unique cultural and social factors that impact mental well-being. My approach is warm, authentic, and collaborative, ensuring that you feel supported and understood every step of the way. As a Chinese-American, second-generation woman, I am proud of my heritage, story, and family. My identity is a strength I draw from in my work, and is a tool in the therapeutic space.
Please visit my website for more about my approach: www.reginachowtrammel.com. Many blessings as you search for the right counselor to support you!

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist

Full healing often requires the resources that God provides. When we get to the end of ourselves, we realize that God and the Holy Spirit is omnipresent, and can provide the wisdom, support, and perseverance and grace to get us through. I am a Christian therapist because I believe that the best therapeutic outcomes come about by asking God to provide that insight, wisdom, and strength to my clients and in our work together. There is a path and light forward because of the hope we have in Christ!
