My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice
At Renew, we provide a safe, caring space for clients seeking professional mental health counseling that remains faithful to their Christian beliefs. We seek to integrate Biblical principles into our clinical work to help clients grow, thrive and find true healing and hope. As a faith-based counseling center, we seek to meet each client where they are on their journey and walk gently and humbly with them through their trials. Our mission is to help clients “be transformed by the renewal of (their) mind” (Romans 12:2)
From Annie:
"I like to use the first few sessions with a client to clearly identify and understand what brings them to counseling. We can explore some concrete coping, relationship and stress management skills. Slowly and gently, we are then ready to begin the hard work of soul searching--figuring out and resolving what the "problem under the problem" is. Where am I stuck? Where is renewal and change needed?"
