About

I am a Clinical Social Worker who graduated from Columbia University in New York. I have been in private practice for the past 15 years. I specialize in Christian Counseling, Substance Abuse Counseling and Marriage Counseling.
I see all age groups and populations, and am covered by most insurance companies. I am currently accepting new clients and have seen many people's lives transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit working in their lives. I see myself as a tool in the Master's Hand and recognize that change comes through a living, breathing relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
As a clinical Social Worker, I deal with many issues, but many people come with relational issues, of which I deal foremost. Depression, break-up and divorce are common problems. Not only do I help clients recognize their strengths, but I also provide solution focused remedies and coping skills that enhance functioning. Life skills are also a priority, and helping people to stay connected and discover how they can maximize their God given talents and abilities.

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist

I became a Christian therapist because I saw how incomplete therapy was without including God. A holistic approach that includes mind, body, soul and spirit helps a person to see their issues from God's perspective, and not just from their own understanding of an issue. It includes childhood trauma, that may have their roots in generational cycles of dysfunction.
Healing of these cycles leads to wholeness and healing of memories.
