About
Robert Vazzo received his master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California and was inducted into the honor society of Phi Kappa Phi in 2004. Mr. Vazzo completed his clinical internship at the Thomas Aquinas Psychological Clinic in Encino, California, where he worked with Dr. Joseph Nicolosi, a pioneer in working with men with unwanted same-sex attraction. In addition to providing marital and family therapy, his professional interests include working with men, many of whom present with issues such as ego dystonic homosexuality, transvestic fetishism, hebephilia/ephebophilia and pedophilia as well as pornography addiction and personality disorders. Mr. Vazzo speaks French fluently, has lived and worked in France, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey and maintains an active interest in multicultural counseling. Robert Vazzo is a Clinical Fellow in the American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy (AAMFT), a member of the California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists, the Alliance for Therapeutic Choice and Scientific Integrity, and the Mankind Project. As a Christian, Mr. Vazzo's personal philosophy is "Live life from your True Self and Witness the Creative Power of God."
If you are looking for someone to help you sort through challenging issues such as marital difficulties, family conflicts, and relational struggles, you have found the right therapist. If you are dealing with more specialized issues such as personal identity, sexual orientation, pornography, fetishes and/or sex addiction, you have definitely found your therapist. (Most of the clients that I saw during my clinical internship had these special difficulties.) My practice is not, however, limited to these issues. I have also treated clients who suffer from depression, anxiety, and personality disorders. I am interested in helping clients live from their True Selves, which involves connectedness to authentic feelings. If you are looking for a serious therapist who really cares about you and your healing and who gets to the root of the problem quickly, give me a call. I will do my utmost to make your therapy experience a rewarding one.

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
I became a Christian therapist because this is my vocation. God has given me certain skills and gifts, and I want to share these with others so that they can be free from that which keeps them in unhappiness and bondage. "You shall know the truth, and the truth will set you free!" John 8:32
