About
I practice Christian counseling with individuals, couples and families for anxiety, depression, abuse, grief/loss, and relational health. I utilize the integration of biblical principles and appropriate psychological therapies which are congruent with those principles, treating the whole person - body, soul and spirit- enabling clients to move toward optimum health and fulfillment. I have a masters degree in human development Counseling from the Univ of Illinois (1987) and have specialized training in EMDR (PTSD/trauma) and DBT (personality disorders and suicide prevention), along with a lifetime of biblical study.
Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
Counseling from a Christian perspective enables me, along with those seeking help, to invite the Lord of the Bible into the healing journey. I have observed and experienced that our true hope for recovery from life's damages and disappointments is in the power of his love to restore and to make everything new.
