About
Research shows that people would rather experience physical pain than emotional pain. These tough times can make us feel hopeless, vulnerable, and powerless. As we know, we cannot avoid life’s hurts that leave us with pain, guilt, anger, and shame; however, we can learn from these emotions. Emotions influence our thinking processes, impacting how we see the world. Therapy can help clear these barriers of uncertainty, which can prevent us from achieving our personal goals, getting that promotion, or achieving a healthy relationship.
My practice is not limited as I work with trauma, toxic masculinity, addictions, and other psychiatric disorders. I provide only evidenced-based practices to ensure full therapeutic efficacy. Therapy is my passion; my specialty is connecting with people to help them move on from past hurts to live more in the present.
Let me be the first to congratulate you on your courage. I strive to create a nonjudgmental space for people to explore in a trusting and safe environment, allowing you to share your story, pain, and uncertainty. Improving your mental health is a journey that will provide healing and personal growth.
My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice
My job is to create a safe space for my clients to share their struggles with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and other unwanted/uncomfortable feelings. I also pride myself on finding similarities between culture, upbringing, family of origin, etc. I also specialize in building the connection between therapy interventions and biblical scripture.
