I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. I'm also a board-approved supervisor who has worked with adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder for over 10 years. I am the owner of Spectrum Counseling and trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, a treatment for trauma.
"I have a Christian worldview, however, I realize that not everyone shares this viewpoint. I am here to help anyone, no matter his or her values or religious beliefs. I honor where everyone is on their spiritual journey".
At Spectrum counseling, I provide therapy for individuals, couples, and families who are having a difficult time doing life the way they'd like to. I accept people exactly where they are and help them get to the level of mental, emotional, and spiritual health they desire. I encourage clients to explore the underlying reasons for their current mental and emotional health and strive to help clients find healing from their past, embrace practical solutions for the present, and instill hope for the future.
I provide help for depression, anxiety, past trauma, difficult relationships, and much more. I also use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which is an empirically based therapy for those who have experienced trauma.
Although I work with many different types of people, my specialty is working with adults who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) formerly known as Asperger Syndrome and their families. For more information about ASD/Aspergers, click on the link: "What is Autism Spectrum Disorder"?
