About

My practice is full, but I am happy to put you on my waitlist.

My priority is to listen to your story, making you feel seen, known, safe, and heard because we're not meant to carry our burdens alone. Together, we'll create a safe space for you to process your thoughts and feelings without judgment.

Therapy is a unique journey for each person. Some clients know what they want to address, while others need time to explore their concerns. Regardless of your starting point, we'll identify your needs and develop a treatment plan that aligns with your goals, ensuring you control your therapeutic journey.

As a Christian therapist, my approach is rooted in a Biblical worldview. I respect that our walk with God is personal, and how much faith is integrated is up to you. I combine evidence-based methods with God’s Word to provide a holistic therapeutic experience.

I provide individual and couples counseling with a focus on anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, trauma, sexual abuse, church hurt, women's issues, and grief and loss.

Education and Professional Background

I am a Licensed Mental Health Associate (LMHCA), license #MC61484516, with a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from the Townsend Institute at Concordia University Irvine. The Townsend Institute was founded by John Townsend (author of Boundaries: When to Say Yes, How to Say No to Take Control of Your Life). Here, I learned to integrate faith into psychotherapy holistically. I have worked in private practice for several years.

Therapeutic Approach

My approach to counseling is founded on a Biblical worldview and clinical counseling modalities. I am integrative and draw many evidence-based approaches, including accelerated experiential dynamic psychotherapy (AEDP), mindfulness, polyvagal theory, attachment theory, attachment core pattern therapy, interpersonal neurobiology (IPNB), and cognitive behavior therapy (CBT).

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist

My Story

I have been where you are. Several years ago, I reached a point of overwhelming despair, deep depression, and a sense of hopelessness. I struggled in my marriage and grappled with frustration towards God and the church. It took reaching a crisis point for me to finally seek help. Through therapy, a ray of light broke into my darkness, offering hope and initiating a journey of healing. I've undergone extensive personal and couples work with my husband, gaining a visceral understanding of emotional pain. Motivated by my own experiences and a desire to help others, I pursued further education to become a mental health counselor.
