About

The Healing Collab, PLLC is a practice that focuses on relationship development. I offer individual, small group, and conjoint sessions for adults. We provide therapy for clients located in CA and NC, USA.

By exploring relationship patterns, largely influenced and learned in childhood development, I support clients in gaining an in-depth understanding of how childhood experiences impact current relationship patterns. However, the process to developing healthier, more fulfilling relationships does not stop there. Through sessions, we expose limiting beliefs, restructure fluid boundaries, and create more secure stories to help facilitate intimate connection across adult relationships. At times this may include strategies involved in forgiveness (of self and others), reparenting self, and intentional practices to create sustainable relationship behaviors. Coming alongside in collaboration, we develop a safe emotional space from which a secure foundation can flourish into solid connections in other relationships.

True to research, connection and intimacy with others is a significant requirement of our wellness. Without these, loneliness can occur, leading to depression, anxiety, and isolation. Intimate connection has physical benefits which help regulates our circulatory system, helping to regulate our systems. When our connection with others feels safe, we are more adventurous, exploratory, and braver.

Spirit, soul, and body are intricately connected, affecting each other. Thus, in addition to relationships, holistic care within my practice encourages wellness of one’s physical, spiritual, financial, professional and psychological self. As dynamic beings, these points of wellness change and fluctuate throughout our lives. Developing a process by which clients can feel competent to both roll with the changes and reach out when in need of support is the key to effective and sustainable change.

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist

My journey to becoming a therapist started with the devasting loss of my parents in my 20s. At the time, I was already a Christian and was unclear of where my life would go. An impromptu meeting with an advisor led me to pursue counseling. During grad school, I felt led to Isaiah 61:1: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captive will be released, and prisoners will be freed. God confirmed for me the prisons that so many of us enter into within our minds, behaviors, and feelings. I firmly believe my call to therapy is to help clients stand on God’s promise in 1 Peter 2:3: By His divine power, God has given us everything we need according to life and godliness. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the One who calls us to Himself by His marvelous glory and excellence.
