Our staff are hired for their Christian orthodoxy, great clinical and coaching skills as well as their sense of humor. We come from an evangelical orthodox Christian orientation. While we do not proselytize or preach at you, we are willing to discuss spiritual, life and relationship issues from a Biblical perspective.
We are associated with New Life Ministries and The New Life Network Counselors and retain the legacy from Minirth-Meir Clinic West and New Life Clinic.
Our director, Kit Hill, Ed.D. LMFT was originally hired by Dr. Henry Cloud and has enjoyed the professional and brotherly fellowship of Dr. Cloud as well as Dr. John Townsend and Dr. Dave Stoop for several years.

Kit Hill has a doctorate from Argosy University, San Francisco Bay Area campus with an emphasis in counseling and leadership development. Our staff are all fully masters-level therapists each with specialties and sub-specialties that can speak to the deepest emotional and life challenges from a Biblical perspective. We work with families, work teams, individuals, executives, church boards, children, teens. We are a part of the John Maxwell Team as well as The Leadership Connection which supplies excellent executive coaching to pastors and church boards.
Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
I was raised in Oakland in a big Irish-Italian family were relationships and intellectual pursuits where highly valued. I felt God's calling to helping people early on. My supervisor was a former minister who wisely guided me in a becoming therapist with compassion and a thirst for truth. I have a masters in counseling from Cal State Hayward and a doctorate of education from Argosy University, San Francisco Bay Area Campus, in counseling psychology with a self directed emphasis in leadership and organization development. My dissertation was on the relationship between life experience and leadership style.
After licensing as a counselor, I enjoyed working as a clinical director with the Minirth-Meier New Life Clinics West. Working with a diverse patient population in the current New Life Network, I still enjoy the wisdom, professional comradeship, fellowship and training of Drs. David Stoop, Henry Cloud and John Townsend. I welcome the opportunity to lead and supervise doctoral and master’s level interns in counseling and coaching.
While working as a consultant, I have enjoyed working with both large and small organizations. I have consulted for Cal Berkeley’s, Graduate Department of Bioengineering, Cal’s Graduate Department of Public Policy and the San Jose State University, Department of Instructional Design. I have also worked with leaders from such diverse organizations as the U.S. Coast Guard, SC Johnson & Company, Kaiser-Permanente, SpineCare-SOAR, and the East Bay Lutheran Youth Leaders Association. Trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and other helpful forms of coaching that help clients get unstuck, I have helped many leaders get through impasses in their careers.
