About
Hi! My name is Chris Weidler, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I base my approach on 3 principles:Christian faith, libertarian worldview and clinically proven counseling practices. I understand that finding a therapist who respects your values—whether Christian, libertarian, or both—can be challenging. In my practice, there is no need for self-censorship; I offer a space where your beliefs are honored as we navigate emotional struggles, relationship challenges, and personal growth. I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and/or Gottman-style approaches for couples and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) for individuals. I have completed Level 1 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I help clients uncover core emotions, break unhealthy patterns, and build stronger, more fulfilling connections while keeping the sessions Christ-focused and biblically based.
As a husband, father of three, serial entrepreneur, and homesteader, I understand the complexities of balancing work, family, and personal well-being. I specialize in helping clients with anxiety, depression, OCD, low motivation, negative lifestyle habits, self-esteem struggles, and major life transitions. I also work extensively with couples on communication, conflict resolution, trust-building after infidelity, and creating deeper, more fulfilling relationships. Licensed in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Florida, Michigan, Arizona and Colorado, I work exclusively online via video or phone with adult clients over the age of 18. If you’re unsure whether therapy is right for you, I offer a free 15-minute consult call to answer questions and explore how we can work together. My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice
My Christian faith is very important to me and I strive to honor Christ in all I do, including my counseling practice. I have 2 seminary degrees - Master of Divinity (MDiv) and Master of Arts in Counseling (MACO). I am involved in my church, helping to lead worship, teaching children and engaging in a small group with 5 other families. In my personal life, I stay consistent in my personal scripture reading, prayer and journaling and evening family devotions. With your permission we can incorporate prayer, scripture and spiritual disciplines into our counseling sessions.
