About
Thrive Mental Health is a private practice office that has been open since 2018. Thrive offers services from Janette Stallings, a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Jesus said that He came that we might have life and might have it abundantly. Janette says "abundant life is thriving and that is my goal for all who come see me which is why I named my practice thrive". Janette is trained to use medications and therapy in conjunction with each other. Her goal is to help people experiencing a variety of life challenges to be their best. To accomplish that goal, she uses a holistic approach to treat the whole person (mental, emotional, physical, professional and spiritual) listening to you, and discussing together with you, to choose the best options to reach your goals. She collaborates (works together) with numerous therapists across the metro area. If medications are needed, she can prescribe them.
Janette has worked in mental health nursing for more than 10 years addressing a variety of disorders and states she "fell in love with the brain in her first high school psychology class". She completed her Master’s training through the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Prior to private practice she worked in Alternative Medicine as well as conventional medicine. She also worked at the VA for 5 years, and is the wife of a retired USAF Msgt, so is particularly familiar with the unique struggles of the military and their families.
Janette works with ages 8 and older. Whether you are experiencing a new or longstanding challenge, I believe that together, we can find a solution. "We know we were made for so much more than ordinary lives. It's time for us to more than just survive, we were made to thrive." ~ Mark Hall/Matthew Joseph West
