I provide professional Christian counseling in-person and virtually in Akron OH for depression, anxiety and psychological trauma. ATTENTION! I do Christian counseling using a concept called MAPS that guides the process from both a spiritual and clinical standpoint. I incorporate scripture and prayer, as well as empirically supported clinical techniques that align with Biblical values including: cognitive behavioral techniques, dialectical behavioral skills related to distress tolerance and relaxation, self-regulation techniques and psychoeducation for PTSD, depression and anxiety. I am an ordained minister through my church, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I use self-pay/sliding scale and in collaboration with grow therapy accept insurance. I use Grow Therapy, a 3rd party service for insurance and self-pay purposes. I believe Jesus is God who came in the form of the son of man to redeem us from sin. He is Holy and lived a sinless life, was crucified for the sins of all mankind and rose again, thereby granting us the free gift of eternal life. Once we establish this reconciled relationship we need to seeking him, understand his Word and do it if we want to overcome life's circumstances and allow Him to work through us.
